Simple Southern Cabbage

You Will Need

  • Broccoli – two heads,
    chopped into florets
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
    ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • Optional:
    Lemon wedges
    Grated parmesan cheese

What To Do

  • In a medium stockpot, sauté cabbage in olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add seasonings and continue to sauté for 5-10 minutes as cabbage reduces.
  • After cabbage has reduced to half of its original volume, add vinegar and broth.
  • Bring the cabbage mixture back to a soft boil and drop the heat to a simmer again. Cover the pot and allow to cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.
